The Armenian national weightlifting team will compete in the first military tournament in Iran

The Armenian national weightlifting team will take part in the first international tournament for military athletes, which will be held in the Iranian city of Babolsar from November 1 to 6.

The Armenian team will be represented by four athletes:

• Up to 60 kg — Karlen Davtyan

• Up to 65 kg — Zhora Grigoryan

• Up to 71 kg — Hovhannes Hovhannisyan

• Up to 94 kg — Hovhannes Ghaghramanyan

The team’s head coach will be Yervand Kirakosyan, and the delegation will be led by the Secretary General of the Armenian Weightlifting Federation, Samvel Gasparyan.

The tournament will be the first event of its kind, bringing together military athletes from various countries.
