Armenia’s futsal national team continues to impress with its successes on the international stage. According to the updated UEFA ranking, Armenia has climbed to 13th place, which is a significant achievement for the team.
In the qualification stage for the 2026 European Championship, the Armenian team secured first place in its group, winning five matches and drawing one. A particularly crucial victory was the 4-2 win over Kazakhstan in Yerevan on March 12. This success not only allowed Armenia to advance to the next stage of the competition but also significantly improved its ranking position.
Kazakhstan, Armenia’s group rival, dropped out of the top three due to its defeat in the decisive match and now sits in fourth place. The reigning European champion, Portugal, remains the leader of the ranking. Spain holds the second position, while Russia has moved up to third place.
A high UEFA ranking increases Armenia’s chances of being placed in the first or second pot during the EURO 2026 final tournament draw. This means the team could avoid facing the strongest opponents in the early stages of the competition.
