Armenia Futsal Team Beat Moldova in Second Friendly

The Armenia national futsal team defeated Moldova in the second friendly match of their training camp in Chisinau. The game ended 4-3 in favor of Antonio Fernandez’s side.
Albert Grigoryan, Putrus Vasiliev, Mikael Gandilyan and Mihran Dermenjyan scored for Armenia.
For Grigoryan and Vasiliev, these goals were their first for the Armenia national team.
Debuts for Hovhannisyan and Ramiro
The two friendly matches against Moldova were an important part of Armenia’s preparations for the 2028 FIFA Futsal World Cup qualifiers.
Head coach Antonio Fernandez used the matches in Chisinau to give playing time to all the players called up for the training camp and to test new lineup options.
Young Argentine-Armenian futsal players Facundo Hovhannisyan and Martin Aram Ramiro also made their debuts for the Armenia national team. Both players had the opportunity to prove themselves and could compete for places in the squad for upcoming competitive matches.
The first friendly match between Armenia and Moldova ended in a 3-3 draw. As a result, Armenia completed the Chisinau training camp unbeaten, recording one draw and one victory.
World Cup qualifying campaign up next
The next major challenge for Antonio Fernandez’s team will be the start of the 2028 FIFA Futsal World Cup qualifying campaign.
Armenia will play their first qualifier on October 20, when they host Hungary.
The friendly matches against Moldova served as another important stage in Armenia’s preparations for the start of competitive action.
