FC Noah head coach Sandro Perković held a press conference ahead of the first leg of the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round match against Lincoln Red Imps. The match will take place on August 7 in Gibraltar and will kick off at 20:00 Yerevan time.
The Armenian team’s coach noted that the artificial turf gives a slight advantage to the opponent, but the team will try to adapt:
“Yes, it's a slight advantage for the hosts, but we’ll try to adapt. The weather here is as hot as in Yerevan, but a bit more humid. We are professionals and must be ready to adjust to any weather conditions.”
Perković also commented on the squad situation, confirming that midfielder Hovhannes Harutyunyan did not travel with the team:
“Unfortunately, there are some limitations in forming the squad for European matches, and Hovhannes Harutyunyan couldn’t travel with us. All the other players are fine.”
Speaking about the opponent, Perković highlighted their experience:
“I respect our opponent a lot. Most of their players are over 30. These are very experienced Spanish players. We know the qualities of Spanish footballers. It’s clear that tomorrow we will face a very difficult and demanding match.”
