On April 27, in the city of Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina), the professional boxing event IBA PRO 4 took place, where Armenian boxer Baregham Harutyunyan, silver medalist of the 2024 European Championships, faced Serbian Omer Ametovic. The bout ended in an unexpected draw, which caused a strong reaction among experts and fans.
From the very first seconds, Harutyunyan took the initiative, demonstrating a high pace, precise work at mid-range, and technical superiority. In the second round, he knocked Ametovic down, further highlighting his dominance. The Armenian boxer's visible control left no doubt among the audience and experts about his victory.
However, after the fight, the judges surprisingly ruled it a draw. This decision astonished not only the spectators but also Omer Ametovic himself — immediately after the announcement, he raised Baregam Harutyunyan’s hand, acknowledging him as the moral winner of the match.
