Crushing victories for Unisport and Athletic Yerevan, plus a friendly win for Yerevan. Here are the results of Matchday 1 of the Armenian Futsal Championship.
The new Armenian futsal season kicked off brightly and impressively.
The 2025/26 season opener between Unisport and Van ended in a historic 22–0 demolition.
Players from the Armenian national futsal team played a key role in the win:
Forward Putrus Vasilyev scored six goals,
Defender Hamlet Manukyan netted a hat-trick,
Sarkis Margaryan provided four assists,
All-rounder Rafik Melikyan added one assist,
And national team goalkeeper Emin Garabekyants kept a clean sheet and even recorded an assist.
Athletic Yerevan were equally impressive, crushing Alashkert 26–2 away from home.
The Yerevan vs Sievna match was postponed, but the team still kept their rhythm by playing a friendly against Lebanese champions Beirut Stars, securing a 3–2 victory.
Armenia’s 19-year-old all-rounder Agasi Yeghiazaryan scored a goal and provided an assist. Defender Artur Patatyan also found the net, while goalkeeper Artur Mkrtchyan played the full match and contributed an assist.
It should be noted that the “home” and “away” designations in the league are purely formal — all matches are played on the same court.
In addition, starting tomorrow, Sportaran will launch a new section dedicated to Armenia’s national futsal players. Ahead of Euro 2026, readers can expect exclusive stories and interviews with members of the national team.
