Rafael Kostanyan wins bronze at the World Grappling Championships

Armenian athlete Rafael Kostanyan (62 kg weight class) won a bronze medal at the 2025 World Grappling Championships held in Novi Sad, Serbia.
On the second day of the competition, Kostanyan achieved success in the No-Gi discipline, defeating Kazakhstan’s Adlan Asuev in the bronze medal match with a choke submission.
Tomorrow will mark the final day of the tournament, during which Kostanyan will compete in the Gi discipline. Other Armenian representatives — Mayis Nersesyan (66 kg) and Suren Khurdyan (84 kg) — will also step onto the mat.
