Pyunik rescue a draw against Alashkert with a 96th-minute goal

Pyunik and Alashkert played out an entertaining draw in the Armenian Premier League ahead of the international break. The match ended 3-3, with Pyunik avoiding defeat only in the 96th minute.
Deep into stoppage time, Alashkert goalkeeper Arsen Beglaryan made a costly mistake, spilling the ball after a cross, and Yasonas Pikis reacted first to tap it into the empty net.
The Cypriot Pyunik player completed a brace and took his tally in the current league season to 6 goals and 3 assists in 8 matches. Pikis will soon join the Cyprus national team, which will face Armenia in the UEFA Nations League on October 2.
Viti scored Pyunik’s other goal, opening his account for the Yerevan club.
For Alashkert, Ali Adebayo, Karen Nalbandyan and Domi Massoumou were on the scoresheet. For 18-year-old Adebayo, it was his first goal for the club.
After eight matches, Pyunik have collected 18 points and sit second in the Armenian Premier League table. Alashkert have 15 points and are fourth.
Following the match, several players from both teams will leave for international duty. Erik Simonyan will join the Armenia national team from Pyunik, while Arsen Beglaryan, Karen Nalbandyan and Davit Terteryan will represent Alashkert in the national squad.
Viti will also join the Mozambique national team.
