Yerevan-based FC Pyunik have announced their move to the new Freedom Arena stadium in the Armenian capital. The club will now play its home matches at the venue.
Pyunik's first match at their new stadium will take place on October 23. Dmitry Gunko's side will host Kapan-based Gandzasar in Matchday 11 of the Armenian Premier League.
Kick-off is scheduled for 19:00 Yerevan time, and the club has confirmed that admission will be free for all supporters.
What do we know about Pyunik's new stadium?
Freedom Arena was officially opened on September 30, 2026, and is part of the sports infrastructure of Juventus Academy Armenia.
The modern stadium has a capacity of approximately 2,000 spectators and meets UEFA Category 2 stadium requirements. This allows the venue to host not only Armenian league matches but also international fixtures at the appropriate level.
Freedom Arena is located in Yerevan, near Pyunik's football academy. In addition to football matches, the sports complex is designed to host other sporting and public events.
The match against Gandzasar will therefore mark Pyunik's first home appearance at their new stadium, opening a new chapter in the club's history.
