Pyunik thrash United Sport in first friendly match

Yerevan-based Pyunik began their training camp in the United Arab Emirates with a convincing victory. In their first friendly match, Artak Oseyan’s side comfortably defeated local club United Sport, which competes in the second division, by a score of 5–0.

The standout performer of the match was Lithuania national team midfielder Matas Vareika, who scored a hat-trick. Sargis Metoyan added another goal, while the scorer of the fifth goal remains unknown.

This match was Pyunik’s first warm-up game during their UAE training camp. As part of preparations for the resumption of the season, the Armenian club will also face Moscow’s Spartak and Lokomotiv, Ural, and Latvia’s Riga.

Pyunik’s training camp in the UAE will last until February 19.
