Officially confirmed: Lithuania national team midfielder Matas Vareika has joined Pyunik as a free agent. The 24-year-old winger has signed a contract until 2027.
In the recently concluded Lithuanian championship, Matas Vareika played 32 matches for Hegelmann, scoring 10 goals and providing 1 assist. He has also appeared in 2 games for the Lithuania national team. According to Transfermarkt, the player’s market value is €450,000.
Matas Vareika became Pyunik’s first signing during the winter transfer window. Earlier, the team parted ways with Henrik Avagyan, James Santos, Jose Caraballo, Yevhen Kochuk, Joao Paredes, Juan Bravo, and Artak Grigoryan, who retired from professional football.
