FFA President Congratulated Nikita Simonyan on His 99th Birthday

President of the Football Federation of Armenia Armen Melikbekyan sent a congratulatory message to the legendary footballer and coach Nikita Simonyan on the occasion of his 99th birthday, reports the FFA press service.
In his message, Melikbekyan highlighted Simonyan’s outstanding contribution to the development of football and emphasized that his dedication to the game over decades serves as a shining example for generations of athletes.
“On behalf of the Football Federation of Armenia, all representatives of Armenian football, and personally myself, I congratulate you on your birthday.
Your lifelong devotion to football has been an inspiration for everyone connected with this game.
Your achievements as both a player and a coach are forever inscribed in golden letters in the history of world and Soviet football.
We especially acknowledge your invaluable contribution to one of the greatest achievements in Armenian football — Ararat’s historic victory in 1973.
I wish you good health, strength, and inexhaustible energy,” Melikbekyan said in his message.
Nikita Pavlovich Simonyan, a native of the Russian city of Armavir, is one of the most prominent figures in the history of Soviet football. He gained fame as a brilliant forward of Moscow’s “Spartak” and a coach who made a significant contribution to the development of football in both the USSR and Armenia. Today, on October 12, the legendary athlete celebrates his 99th birthday.
