Portugal and Austria to Face Off in the U-17 World Cup Final

Portugal and Austria will meet in the final of the FIFA U-17 World Cup. Both teams confidently overcame their semifinal challenges, securing a historic opportunity to compete for the title.

Austria delivered a commanding performance in the semifinals, defeating Italy 2–0. Portugal, meanwhile, booked their place in the final after a tense battle: their match against Brazil ended goalless, and only a penalty shootout — won by Portugal 6–5 — decided the last finalist.

The decisive match of the tournament, as well as the third-place playoff, will take place on November 27.

Notably, neither Portugal nor Austria has ever reached the U-17 World Cup final before. Portugal’s best result came in 1989, when the team advanced to the semifinals.
