Ireland’s key midfielder John Cullen will miss the upcoming match against Armenia in the 4th round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The 29-year-old Burnley (England) player received yellow cards in the matches against Hungary and Portugal, which means he will be suspended for the next game due to an accumulation of bookings.
The Ireland vs Armenia match will take place on October 14 in Dublin. Cullen started in all three previous qualifying matches and was one of the team’s key players.
After three rounds, Ireland have earned 1 point and sit 4th in Group F.
