First gold for Georgia and France, results of the third day of the 2025 World Judo Championship

On June 15, the third day of the 2025 Judo World Championships took place in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Medals were contested in the men’s -73 kg and women’s -57 kg weight categories.
Georgia and France claimed their first gold medals of the tournament. Eteri Liparteliani of Georgia became world champion in the women’s -57 kg division — her second world title. In the men’s -73 kg category, Frenchman Joan-Benjamin Gaba won his first world gold.
