The official UWW website has published the preliminary squad of Armenia for the U17 World Wrestling Championships 2025. The tournament will be held from July 28 to August 3 in Athens, the capital of Greece.
Recently, the European Championships for the same age group took place in North Macedonia, where Armenia won the team title in Greco-Roman wrestling and placed fourth in freestyle.
The Greco-Roman lineup remains unchanged, while some adjustments have been made in freestyle. In particular, Hamlet Antonyan is listed at 60 kg — he competed in the U15 Euros this year. Also, the wrestlers in 80 kg and 92 kg have switched places, though this could change before the tournament starts.
