Armenia’s new head coach, John van’t Schip, has announced the national team squad for the UEFA Nations League matches against Georgia, scheduled for March 20 and 23.
The squad has some key absences: due to injuries, Eduard Spertsyan, Hovhannes Harutyunyan, and Norberto Briasco-Balekian will not be available. Additionally, Lucas Zelarayan will miss the camp due to family reasons.
Among the newcomers is 22-year-old Urartu forward Nicholas Kaloukian, who has received his first call-up to the national team.

Comments from Head Coach John van’t Schip
“The initial squad list was broader. Unfortunately, one of our key players, Eduard Spertsyan, won’t be able to help us due to injury. I spoke with him, and he is very disappointed to miss this camp but is looking forward to the next one. Hovhannes Harutyunyan and Norberto Briasco-Balekian are also injured. Yesterday, we learned that Andre Calisir, who was also on our list, won’t be able to play due to an injury.
Lucas Zelarayan won’t participate due to family reasons. He is one of the most dedicated players in our squad, and we granted his request to stay with his family.
Sargis Adamyan informed us that he no longer wishes to play for the national team, which is why he is not included.
As for Khoren Bayramyan, we didn’t call him up this time, but we continue to monitor him. He may receive a call-up in the future.”
Armenia’s national team will begin training camp on March 16 at the FFA Technical Center/Football Academy.
On March 20, the team will host Georgia at Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in Yerevan, followed by the return match on March 23 at Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi.
