Polish MMA veteran and former UFC fighter Marcin Bandel (22-9-1) will compete in a grappling bout against Armenian athlete Narek Gabrielyan at Mix Fight 58, scheduled for July 13 at the Dinamo Sports Complex in Yerevan.
Bandel’s opponent was officially confirmed by the event organizers. Thus, the bout against Gabrielyan becomes the second announced fight on the card of the upcoming show.
Previously, current European Combat Sambo Champion Arman Avanesyan (1-0) also confirmed his participation. He will face Brazilian Carlos Brito (6-8).
Bandel competed in the UFC in 2014 and later found success in Brave FC, where he became champion in 2022. Now, the Polish fighter returns to the octagon in a new format for him — under grappling rules.
The organizers promise to announce more participants in the near future. As previously stated by Mix Fight Events president Vardan Mnatsakanyan, Mix Fight 58 is set to be the biggest and most high-profile MMA tournament in Armenia’s history.
For reference, the previous Mix Fight tournament was also held in Yerevan, on March 30.
