Start Date Confirmed for the New Armenian Ice Hockey Championship Season

The 2026/27 Armenian Ice Hockey Championship will begin on October 31, 2026. The key parameters of the national championship have already been agreed upon by the Ice Hockey Federation of Armenia and the Armenian Hockey League.

According to the approved preliminary plan, the tournament will run from late October 2026 until March 2027. All championship games will be played in Armenia.

Four hockey clubs are expected to participate in the new season. However, the final list of participants is still being finalized and will be officially confirmed after the registration process is completed.

The organizers have also approved the competition regulations, tournament format, preliminary schedule, match procedures, and the main requirements for participating clubs. The full fixture list, information on the ice arenas, and kick-off times will be announced at a later date.

The Ice Hockey Federation of Armenia and the Armenian Hockey League believe that the upcoming championship will become an important step in the development of club hockey in the country and contribute to preparing players for the national team.
