Official: Belgian midfielder Zakaria Maknoun joins Ararat

Yerevan-based Ararat has signed a contract with 25-year-old Belgian midfielder Zakaria Maknoun. The new player operates as a central midfielder.

Maknoun developed through the youth academies of Belgian clubs Eupen and Standard before moving to Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca. He later played in the United Arab Emirates for Emirates Club and Al-Hamra, and also had a spell with Spanish side Atlético Marbella. His most recent club was Al-Washm in Saudi Arabia.

Born in Belgium, Maknoun represents Morocco at international level, having been called up to the country's youth national team.
