Official: Artyom Simonyan Joins Rotor

Football club Rotor has announced the signing of midfielder Artyom Simonyan. The 30-year-old has signed a "1+1" contract with the club.
Simonyan, a former Armenian national team player, spent the last three seasons with SKA-Khabarovsk. In the recently concluded First League season, he was one of the key players for the Far Eastern club, scoring 5 goals and providing 5 assists in 31 matches.
A graduate of Smena Academy, Simonyan spent three years at Zenit-2 before moving to Swiss side Zürich, where he made 31 appearances, scored 2 goals, and registered 3 assists. In 2017, he joined Alashkert (Armenia) and spent four years in the country, playing 75 matches, scoring 15 goals, and making 10 assists for various Armenian clubs.
He returned to Russia in 2021, making 2 appearances for Torpedo in the Russian Premier League. In total, he has played 115 First League matches, scoring 21 goals and delivering 15 assists.
Simonyan also boasts 18 appearances in European competitions: 2 in the Champions League qualifiers, 10 in the Europa League qualifiers, and 6 in the UEFA Youth League (2 goals, 3 assists). He has been capped 10 times for the Armenian national team.
Now, the experienced midfielder will wear Rotor's colors in the Russian First League.
