Official: Arthur Kartashyan Joins Yerevan’s Ararat

Central defender Arthur Kartashyan has officially joined Yerevan-based FC Ararat. This marks the club’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old defender played last season for Alashkert and West Armenia. He has also appeared for the Armenian national team, scoring one goal in his only international match.
This summer, Ararat is undergoing major squad changes — several key players left the team after the end of the season, including Serob Galstyan (now at Pyunik), Ryan Mzoughi, Armen Nahapetyan, and Badem Diabira.
Artur Kartashyan is famous for playing against Cristiano Ronaldo in the Asian Champions League when he played for Tajikistan champions Istiklol.
