New Weight Categories in Weightlifting: One Important Change

The International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) has officially approved new weight categories for all age groups: seniors, juniors, and youth. The updates will take effect on June 1, 2025.
There is one change compared to the previously announced version:
The men's 98 kg category has been replaced with 94 kg.
The same applies to the youth division: instead of +98 kg and 98 kg, it is now +94 kg and 94 kg.
The remaining categories remain unchanged and are already presented in the official IWF infographics. The decision was approved by the IWF Executive Board, Technical Committee, and Athletes' Commission.
