Armenian champions Noah began the new Armenian Premier League season with a resounding victory, defeating Shirak 4-0 in the opening round.
In the first half, Mateus Ayias and Virgil Pinson scored, while after the break, Bosnian players Nermin Zolotic and Nardin Mulahuseinovic found the net. For Mulahuseinovic, this goal was his debut strike for Noah, scored in his very first match for the club.
The head coach of the Armenian champions made significant squad rotations ahead of the upcoming Europa League clash against Lincoln. Of the players who took part in the Champions League games against Ferencváros, only Sergey Muradyan appeared on the pitch.
Shirak’s starting lineup featured only one foreign player, which also affected the final outcome of the match.
On August 7, Noah will play their first match of the Europa League third qualifying round against Gibraltar’s Lincoln.
