Noah claimed one of their most important wins of the season in the Armenian Premier League. Sandro Perković’s side confidently defeated league leaders Ararat-Armenia 4-0 and kept their realistic chances of winning the championship title alive.
The match turned out almost perfectly for Noah. Already in the first half, the team managed to build a serious advantage: Nardin Mulahusejnović opened the scoring, and then Elder Ferreira added a second goal against Ararat-Armenia.
After the break, Noah did not simply sit back to protect their lead and soon removed any doubts about the winner. Mateus Aiás became the main hero of the second half, scoring twice. The final 4-0 scoreline was not only a big victory, but also an important result in terms of head-to-head meetings between the title contenders.
Thanks to this success, Noah gained an advantage over Ararat-Armenia in head-to-head matches. However, Perković’s team still trails the leader by two potential points, so the fight for the title remains difficult, but the intrigue in the championship is still alive.
Noah now face a very busy and important part of the season. The team still has the Armenian Cup final, a postponed match against Pyunik, and league games against Ararat and Urartu ahead. These fixtures could prove decisive in the battle for first place.
Ararat-Armenia, despite the heavy defeat, remain top of the table. In the two remaining rounds, the team will face Gandzasar and BKMA. The leaders now have almost no room for error.
