Lazetic goal earns Noah win over Alashkert and third straight league victory

Noah continued their winning run in the Armenian championship with a 1-0 victory over Alashkert in the third round of the season. It was the club’s third consecutive win at the start of the new campaign.
The only goal of the match came in the 61st minute. Noah’s star signing Marko Lazetic found the net following an assist from Elder Ferreira to secure all three points for his team. It was the Serbian striker’s second league goal of the season.
After three rounds, Noah have collected a maximum nine points and sit top of the standings. Ararat-Armenia also have nine points after making a strong start to the new season.
The match was also notable because both teams have already been eliminated from European competition and can now fully focus on their domestic campaign.
Alashkert came into the match against Noah after two convincing victories at the start of the season, winning both games 3-0. Their first defeat of the campaign leaves them on six points and in third place after three rounds.
There was another notable development for Noah, as goalkeeper Arthur Coneglian made his first appearance of the season. He started the match and kept a clean sheet.
Noah therefore maintain their perfect record in the Armenian championship, with three wins from three matches and nine points.
