Noah and Alashkert play a high-scoring draw, Ararat-Armenia become the new sole leader

The match between Noah and Alashkert was full of action and ended in a hard-fought 2:2 draw, although Sandro Perković’s team came close to winning.

The hosts opened the scoring in the first half thanks to a precise penalty strike by Gor Manvelyan. Alashkert responded with their own spot kick — Karen Nalbandyan equalized. However, the highlight of the match was a magnificent goal by Noah’s captain Hovhannes Hambardzumyan, who put his team ahead again at a moment when Noah was already playing with 10 men after David Sualehe’s red card.

In the 73rd minute, a second penalty was awarded against Timothée Fayulu, but the goalkeeper saved the shot. Nevertheless, Momo Touré reacted first to the rebound and leveled the match — 2:2.

The draw cost both teams crucial points. It allowed Ararat-Armenia to take sole lead in the league table with 31 points after 13 matches.
