Noah Draws in Romania: Armenian Club Continues Strong UEFA Conference League Run
Football

Armenian champion and domestic cup holder FC Noah of Yerevan earned a 1–1 away draw against Romanian side Universitatea Craiova in the second round of the UEFA Conference League group stage.

Sandro Perković’s team played an active match and largely controlled possession but conceded first — Nigerian forward Munday Etim put the hosts ahead in the 38th minute. The Armenian side equalized in the second half: in the 73rd minute, Bosnian striker Nardin Mulahusejnović, who had come on as a substitute, scored with a precise header. Notably, Mulahusejnović was also the scorer of the winning goal in the opening round against Croatian club Rijeka (1–0).

After two rounds, Noah has 4 points and sits 11th in the overall standings, while Universitatea Craiova, with 1 point, ranks 27th.
In their next match, scheduled for November 6, the Armenian club will host Czech side Sigma, which drew 1–1 with Polish club Raków and also has one point.

In other matches of the round, English side Crystal Palace surprisingly lost 0–1 at home to Cypriot team AEK Larnaca — the Cypriots’ second consecutive win in the competition.

Armenia’s FC Noah continues to represent the country with confidence on the international stage, showing maturity and tactical discipline, while Mulahusejnović is gradually emerging as one of the key figures of the club’s European campaign.
