The final bout will take place tomorrow, where Aghajanyan will face experienced Serbian representative Georgi Tibilov.
Throughout the tournament, the Armenian wrestler has shown phenomenal form. In previous rounds, he:
- Defeated Russia’s Suner Konunov 8:0 in just one minute;
- Claimed an early victory by fall against Italy’s Tommzo Bozi.
Notably, this is Aghajanyan’s debut European Championship at the senior level. Just one month ago, he became the European U23 champion, confirming his rapid progress.
For the Armenian national team, this marks their second final at the tournament held in Tirana. Today, Malkhas Amoyan (77 kg) will also compete in the final, while Gaspar Terteryan (72 kg) still has chances to reach the decisive stage.
