The Armenian Premier League leader, Noah, secured a hard-fought away victory against Shirak. A fantastic performance by the goalkeeper and an unbelievable goal by Misakyan couldn’t save the home team from defeat. The match ended 2-1 in favor of Noah.
In the first half, Shirak's Serbian goalkeeper Darko Vukasinovic saved two penalties taken by the league’s top scorer, Gonçalo Gregório.
Shirak’s midfielder Rafik Misakyan scored a stunning long-range goal, allowing his team to go into halftime with the lead. However, Noah's captain Hovhannes Hambardzumyan equalized right after the start of the second half with a header from a corner kick.
After that, Noah launched multiple attacks, creating chances, but Shirak defended well, while Vukasinovic continued to perform miracles in goal.
In the 86th minute, the referee once again intervened in the game, awarding a third penalty against Shirak. This time, Gor Manvelyan stepped up and confidently converted the spot-kick, securing Noah's victory.
After 24 rounds, Noah leads the league with 52 points, 5 points ahead of Urartu. Shirak sits in 7th place with 25 points.
