Natalya Sargsyan wins “big bronze” at the European U17 Weightlifting Championships

16-year-old Armenian weightlifter Natalya Sargsyan (63 kg) won Armenia's first “big” medal at the European U17 Championships taking place in Madrid. She lifted a total of 178 kg in the combined event and finished third, earning the “big bronze.”
Although Sargsyan did not win medals in individual lifts, she managed to surpass her opponents in the overall ranking using the Sinclair system, securing an important victory for the Armenian national team. This is already the team’s second medal at the tournament in Spain.
