Armenian wrestler Narek Grigoryan (67 kg) won the international U20 Greco-Roman wrestling tournament held in memory of Surakat Asiyatilov. The competition took place from May 11 to 13 in Kaspiysk, Russia.

The tournament brought together top young wrestlers from Russia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Belarus.

Team Armenia participated with 15 athletes and finished second in the team standings, trailing only the host nation, Russia, and ahead of the team from Dagestan.

The Armenian team won a total of 1 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals. Additionally, two Armenian-origin wrestlers competing for Russia won gold, and another Armenian from Russia took silver.

In the 67 kg weight category, Narek Grigoryan defeated Russia’s Saudkhusein Avtaev (3:1), then overcame fellow Armenians Petros Ashkaryan (4:2) and Hayk Kaladyan (3:0). In the final, he beat another Russian, Arsalan Doev, with a score of 3:1. In the same weight class, Petros Ashkaryan claimed bronze by pinning Hayk Kaladyan in the bronze medal match.

In the 77 kg category, Samvel Terteryan took silver after a close 5–6 loss in the final to Russia’s Adam Abdulaev.
