Nair Tiknizyan Not Suspended from Lokomotiv, Will Travel to Samara – Filatov

Following a controversial interview given by Lokomotiv defender Nair Tiknizyan, reports surfaced claiming he had been suspended from the first team and would miss the final match of the season against Krylia Sovetov. However, Lokomotiv board member Valery Filatov has denied these rumors.

Speaking to Match TV, Filatov stated that Tiknizyan will travel with the team to Samara and is still training with the main squad.

"The guy had something to get off his chest, he expressed his opinion. What's wrong with that? He's frustrated that he isn't playing and believes he should be on the pitch. There's no need to turn this into a tragedy. I take it completely normally. In this situation, it’s about his career, his life as an athlete. People shouldn't react negatively. According to my information, he hasn't been suspended and will go to Samara," Filatov emphasized.

Earlier, after the match against CSKA, Tiknizyan expressed frustration over his lack of playing time and said he would request a transfer this summer if things don’t change.
