Armenia’s U18 men’s and women’s teams advance to the European Championship (Division C) semifinals

Armenia’s U18 men’s and women’s basketball teams have successfully passed the group stage of the European Championship Division C and advanced to the semifinals.
The Armenia U18 women’s team crushed Andorra U18 in the final group stage match with a score of 82:35. Seda Gabrielyan led the game, recording a double-double with 23 points, 11 rebounds, along with 6 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. Armenia topped the group, claiming two convincing wins over Albania and Andorra. The tournament is taking place in Andorra.

The Armenia U18 men’s team defeated Gibraltar U18 in the last group stage match with a score of 81:48. Sebastian Atsakortsyan was the most productive player with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals, and 3 blocks. The Armenian team finished second in the group, losing only to Cyprus in a close match (63-69) but defeating San Marino, Gibraltar, and Monaco. The tournament is taking place in Albania.

The European Championship (Division C) semifinals will be held on July 26:

The Armenia U18 men’s team will face Luxembourg U18, while Cyprus U18 and Andorra U18 will meet in the other semifinal.

The Armenia U18 women’s team will play against Malta U18, and in the parallel match, Georgia U18 will take on Albania U18.
Armenian boys and girls maintain excellent chances of reaching the finals and competing for the tournament’s gold medals.
