2025 World Junior Judo Championships in Lima: Results of Day 1

On October 5, the 2025 World Junior Judo Championships for athletes under 20 years old kicked off in Lima, the capital of Peru. On the first day, medals were contested in the men’s 60 kg and 66 kg weight categories, as well as in the women’s 48 kg, 52 kg, and 57 kg divisions.
By the end of the day, Japan’s national team claimed three gold medals. Georgia and Brazil each won one gold medal.

Team Armenia is not participating in the tournament, but two Armenian judokas are competing for other countries:

Narek Vardanyan (73 kg, Sweden)
