Armenia U20 basketball team loses friendly match against Switzerland

The Armenia U20 national basketball team continues its preparations for the FIBA European Championship Division B, which will begin on July 11 in Yerevan. As part of the preparation phase, the team played a friendly match against their peers from Switzerland.
The match ended with a victory for the visitors — 88:62 in favor of Switzerland. Despite the defeat, the Armenian team gained valuable game experience. Yura Melikyan was the top performer for Armenia, recording a double-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists.
The coaching staff continues to experiment with the lineup and tactical schemes, giving playing time to all players.
Armenia’s next friendly match will take place on July 9 against Georgia. The game will be held at the Mika Sports Complex and will start at 19:00.
