Manny Pacquiao fails to defeat Mario Barrios: fight ends in a draw

Legendary Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao returned to the professional ring after a long break and faced current WBC welterweight (up to 66.7 kg) world champion Mario Barrios of the United States.

The fight, held in Las Vegas, went the full 12 rounds and ended in a draw. Two judges scored it 114–114, while the third slightly favored Barrios at 115–113. As a result, the title remained with the 30-year-old American.

For the 46-year-old Pacquiao, this was his first official fight since August 2021. His record now stands at 62 wins (39 by knockout), 8 losses, and 3 draws. Barrios, meanwhile, retained his belt and now has 29 wins, 2 draws, and 2 losses.
