Urartu Football Club has announced the departure of two Armenia national team players — goalkeeper Gor Matinyan and forward Nicholas Kaloukian. The contracts with both players have been terminated by mutual agreement.
Nicholas Kaloukian joined Urartu from the United States in 2024. During his time at the club, the forward made 41 appearances, scored 7 goals and provided 6 assists, becoming one of the notable figures in the team’s attack.
Gor Matinyan is a product of Urartu’s academy and made 17 appearances for his boyhood club, defending the team’s goal in official matches.
Earlier, Urartu also parted ways with Alexander Llove and Ebenezer Prince, making the club’s squad changes even more noticeable.
The 2025/26 season proved difficult for the team: Urartu finished fifth in the Armenian championship and failed to secure a place in next season’s European competitions.
