On January 19, UFC 311 took place in Los Angeles, featuring two championship bouts — in the lightweight and bantamweight divisions.

Islam Makhachev successfully defended his lightweight title, securing a dominant win over Brazilian Renato Moicano by submission in the first round. It's worth noting that Moicano stepped in on short notice to replace the injured Arman Tsarukyan.

In the co-main event, bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili faced underdog Umar Nurmagomedov. It was a competitive fight that went the full 5 rounds. Nurmagomedov took the first two rounds, but Dvalishvili showed excellent stamina and took the final three rounds with his activity and pressure.
