On September 3, the last of the called-up players, Lucas Zelarayán, arrived at the Armenian national team’s camp.
The captain of Argentine club Belgrano reached Yerevan on Wednesday morning and has already begun training under Yegishe Melikyan.
It should be reminded that in the previous two cycles Zelarayán did not take part in the national team’s matches: he missed the Nations League games against Georgia, as well as the friendlies with Montenegro and Kosovo in June. Now, one of the leaders of the national team is once again ready to help Armenia.
Armenia continues its preparations for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers: on September 6 the team will host Portugal, and on September 9 it will face Ireland.
