In the 9th round of the Argentine Clausura, Belgrano confidently defeated Newell’s Old Boys 3–0. The main heroes of the final minutes were members of the same family — cousins Lukas and Gonzalo Zelarayán.
Team captain and Armenia national team forward Lukas Zelarayán started the match, played all 90 minutes, and earned a 7.7 SofaScore rating.
In the 85th minute, his 21-year-old cousin Gonzalo Zelarayán entered the game. Already with 10 goals for the reserve team this season, he needed just two minutes to register his first assist for the senior squad — setting up Lukas for a goal.
Thus, the Zelarayán cousins achieved a unique milestone: Gonzalo’s very first decisive contribution for the first team was an assist to the captain and leader of Belgrano.
