Armenian weightlifter Liana Gyurjyan won the silver medal in the 87 kg weight category at the 2025 European Championships, held in Chișinău.
Gyurjyan lifted a total of 246 kg (106 kg in the snatch and 140 kg in the clean and jerk), securing the “big silver” medal for the combined total.
Additionally, Gyurjyan earned a small silver in the clean and jerk, while another Armenian athlete, Tatev Hakobyan, won a small silver in the snatch. She was close to reaching the podium in the total, but her final attempt in the clean and jerk was not validated by the judges, leaving her in 4th place.

- Solfried Koanda (Norway) — 267 kg (122 + 145)
- Liana Gyurjyan (Armenia) — 246 kg (106 + 140)
- Anastasiia Manievska (Ukraine) — 235 kg (105 + 130)
- Tatev Hakobyan (Armenia) — 232 kg (110 + 122)
The Armenian team continues to perform confidently at the continental championship, winning medals both in individual lifts and overall totals.
So far, the Armenian national team has won 9 big medals – 1 gold, 6 silver, and 2 bronze – and a total of 24 medals (big and small): 4 gold, 13 silver, and 7 bronze.
