Armenia national basketball team point guard Chris Jones was the hero of the EuroLeague Round 5 clash as Belgrade's Crvena Zvezda secured a dramatic 84–82 away victory over French side ASVEL.
The game took place on October 13 in Villeurbanne, France, and ended in spectacular fashion. With the score tied at 82–82, Jones knocked down the game-winning shot at the final buzzer, securing a crucial victory for the Serbian club.
In the closing moments, the Armenian international stepped up as his team's leader. Jones scored Crvena Zvezda's final five points, including the decisive mid-range two-pointer.
With just seconds remaining, ASVEL had an opportunity to take the lead but failed to convert its offensive possession. Jones collected the ball, advanced into the opposing half and confidently knocked down a contested jumper just before the final buzzer sounded.
The victory marked Crvena Zvezda's third consecutive win in the EuroLeague.
