Bichakhchyan’s team suffered a heavy defeat to AEK in the Europa League

Polish club Legia Warsaw, featuring Armenian national team midfielder Vahan Bichakhchyan, suffered a heavy loss in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round. The Warsaw side lost 1–4 away to Cypriot club AEK Larnaca.

Bichakhchyan was in the starting lineup and played 70 minutes.

Jean-Pierre Nsame scored Legia’s only goal. For the hosts, Pere Pons, Angelski, and Chacon found the net, while another goal came from an own goal by the Polish side.

The return leg will take place on August 14 in Warsaw.
