Katya Galstyan to Compete at the Olympics for the Sixth Time

On February 12, at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina, Armenian cross-country skier Katya Galstyan will make her очередной Olympic start.
The 33-year-old athlete will compete in the women’s 10 km freestyle event. This will be Galstyan’s sixth Olympic appearance overall and her fourth Olympic Games representing Armenia.
A total of 111 athletes will start the race. Galstyan received bib number 104 — immediately after the representatives of Malta and Turkey, and ahead of skiers from Iran, Thailand, Mexico, and Brazil.
The main intrigue for Armenian fans will be the battle with athletes from equatorial nations and neighboring countries in the final standings. Galstyan is not expected to challenge for top positions, but we wish her to deliver her best possible performance.
Main favorites in the women’s 10 km race:

Ebba Andersson (Sweden) — 2025 World Champion.

Jessie Diggins (USA) — current World Cup leader.
Race start — 16:00 Yerevan time (15:00 Moscow time).
This will be Galstyan’s second and final race at these Games. Earlier, she finished 69th in the 10+10 km skiathlon.
