Karen Khachanov (ATP 27) confidently advanced to the semifinals of the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona. In the quarterfinals, he defeated Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (ATP 30) in straight sets — 6:4, 7:5.
The match lasted 1 hour and 47 minutes. Khachanov showed solid serving and capitalized on key break points in each set, not allowing his opponent to seize the initiative on home soil.
In the semifinals, Karen will face the winner of the match between Holger Rune and Casper Ruud.
