Karen Khachanov Defeats Novak Djokovic in Wimbledon Warm-Up Exhibition Match

Armenian tennis player Karen Khachanov claimed victory over seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic in an exhibition match at the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic in Hurlingham. The match ended 7–6 (7–4), 6–4 in favor of Khachanov.
The encounter lasted 1 hour and 23 minutes and delivered an entertaining performance. In the first set, Djokovic had a set point on return at 5–4, but Khachanov saved it confidently with strong serving and forced a tiebreak, where he capitalized on his opponent’s error in the 11th point.
In the second set, the Armenian once again showed resilience — he saved four break points in the fifth game, then at 5–4 made the only break of the match, finishing with aggressive play on return. Khachanov won 14 more points than Djokovic overall and didn’t lose his serve once.
Karen Khachanov is now preparing for Wimbledon, where he will face American Mackenzie McDonald in the first round on June 30.
