April 12, 2025, Bratislava — The second day of the European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships brought the first results: winners and medalists were determined in five weight categories (55, 63, 77, 87, and 130 kg).

Armenian wrestlers claimed two medals: Malkhas Amoyan (77 kg) became a four-time European champion, while Karen Aslanyan (63 kg) earned his first silver medal at the European Championships.

Russian wrestlers won two gold medals, while Armenia, Turkey, and Hungary secured one each.

55 kg:

  1. Emin Sefershaev (Russia)

  2. Eldaniz Azizli (Azerbaijan)

  3. Vakhtang Lolua (Georgia) & Artem Deleanu (Moldova)

63 kg:

  1. Kerem Kamal (Turkey)

  2. Karen Aslanyan (Armenia)

  3. Mairbek Salimov (Poland) & Vitalii Eremenko (Moldova)

77 kg:

  1. Malkhas Amoyan (Armenia)

  3. Ahmet Yilmaz (Turkey) & Alexandru Solovei (Moldova)

87 kg:

  1. David Losonczi (Hungary)

  2. Semen Novikov (Bulgaria)

  3. Islam Abbasov (Azerbaijan) & Aleksandar Komarov (Serbia)

130 kg:

  1. Sergey Semenov (Russia)

  2. Muhammet Bakir (Turkey)

  3. Darius Vitek (Hungary) & Jello Kramer (Germany)

Final: Sergey Semenov (RUS) vs. Muhammet Bakir (TUR) — 1-1 (Semenov wins on criteria)


On April 12, semifinal matches were also held in the remaining weight classes, and the finalists for tomorrow’s finals were determined.

Final matchups for April 13:

  • 60 kg: Georgi Tibilov (Serbia) vs. Nihat Mammadli (Azerbaijan)

  • 67 kg: Amu Muslim Amaev (Bulgaria) vs. Hasrat Jafarov (Azerbaijan)

  • 72 kg: Levente Levai (Hungary) vs. Ibrahim Ghanem (France)

  • 82 kg: Erik Jilvassy (Hungary) vs. Gurban Gurbanov (Azerbaijan)

Samvel Grigoryan (Armenia) will compete in the repechage round.

  • 97 kg: Kiril Milov (Bulgaria) vs. Lukas Lazogianis (Germany)
    Artur Aleksanyan (Armenia) will wrestle for bronze.
