From July 11 to 20, the European U20 Basketball Championship (Division B) took place in the capital of Armenia.
Latvia won the tournament, confidently defeating Croatia in the final — 74:64. Turkey claimed the bronze medals.
As a result, Latvia, Croatia, and Turkey earned promotion and will compete in Division A next year.
Replacing them in Division B will be Iceland, Finland, and Ukraine, which were relegated from the top tier.
The Armenian national team finished 16th out of 21 teams — an improvement over their 19th-place finish in 2024. In seven games, Armenia secured one win — against Estonia.
However, the Armenian players had several very close games, losing by just 1–2 points.
Armenia's results:
-
Armenia — Latvia 45:97
-
Armenia — Montenegro 65:81
-
Armenia — Ireland 71:77
-
Armenia — Estonia 61:58
