Italy U21 score 15 goals ahead of Euro 2027 qualifier against Armenia

Italy’s U21 national team completed its preparations for the trip to Yerevan with a commanding win in a friendly match. The Italians defeated Empoli’s youth team 15–0.

Italy led 4–0 at half-time. Lorenzo Chichella scored twice, while Tommaso Berti and Francesco Camarda added one goal each. The team scored another 11 goals in the second half. The closing stages were particularly prolific: Italy struck seven times between the 75th and 89th minutes.

AC Milan’s Alphadjo Cissé scored a hat-trick, with all three of his goals coming in the final 12 minutes. Faticanti and Calvani also scored twice each. Davide Bartesaghi, Favasuli and Fini were on the scoresheet, while another goal was recorded as an Empoli own goal.

Italy U21 now face an official match against Armenia U21. The teams will meet in Yerevan on October 1 in the penultimate round of qualifying for the 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. The friendly showed Italy’s scoring form before the trip, although the match against Armenia will be a test in competitive qualifying.
